The Foundation’s funds come directly from Raccoon Media Group, owners of the ISPO trade show, which takes place in Amsterdam every November. The team has an independent governance structure, meaning that grant decisions are made free from influence of the funders, and has a transparent advisory structure.
The Trustees hold ultimate responsibility for the governance of the ISPO Impact Foundation and the use of its funds. They will approve the overall strategy and priorities for the foundation, ensuring that funds are used in alignment with the foundation’s mission, legal obligations and governance standards.

Holding observer status, the Strategic Fund Adviser represents the ISPO Trade show and Raccoon Media Group, the organisation providing the funding for the foundation. They will ensure that the ISPO Impact Foundation’s funding decisions remain consistent with the values, ethos, and intended impact of the funding organisation.
Marketing Director – ISPO, Raccoon Media Group
Marketing leader overseeing all brand communications and PR for ISPO, the world’s largest sporting goods and outdoor trade show. With over 25 years delivering successful live event experiences to mass communities and brands, and a personal obsession with hiking and wild swimming.
The General Manager is currently the only employed team member, and undertakes all the day-to-day work of the foundation, reporting directly to the trustees. Guided by the trustees in the overall strategic direction of the foundation, they also work closely with the advisory council, and, having shortlisted the applications, will not have a final vote in which projects are funded.
