Asociación Cordobesa de Slackline y Montañismo’s mission is to promote, develop, and formalise the practice of slackline and mountaineering as disciplines that enhance physical, mental, and social well-being.  It is dedicated to providing comprehensive training, fostering safe environments in public and private spaces, supporting local athletes, and building collaborative networks, all while strictly championing environmental conservation and the sustainable use of natural spaces.

The Project

This Argentine slackline and mountaineering club will reforest native tabaquillo forest and film a female-led highline expedition to promote environmental stewardship in mountain sport.

The Issue

Overgrazing and wildfires are degrading Córdoba’s high-altitude tabaquillo forests. While mountain groups have pioneered valuable conservation efforts, there is urgent need to  build broader, proactive environmental leadership across the outdoor sports community.

The Project

The club will partner with a local reforestation NGO to plant native trees and install eco-signage at its training site, culminating in a filmed female-led highline expedition across the restored forest.

The Impact

The project aims to institutionalise conservation within the club’s identity and the emerging Argentine Slackline Federation, while a documentary promotes female participation in mountain sport.
