383 registrations and attendees from over 40 countries signal worldwide appetite for the Foundation’s €1million grant fund
Less than one month after its official launch, the ISPO Impact Foundation has reported an exceptional response to its first public webinar, with 383 registrations received, and attendees representing more than 40 countries around the world. The webinar, which provided an introduction to the Foundation and details of how to apply for its inaugural €1 million grant fund, underlined the significant global interest in the Foundation’s mission to harness the power of sport and outdoor recreation as a force for lasting, positive change.
The Foundation, which was founded by ISPO, the world’s leading sports and outdoor trade fair, is now inviting non-profit organisations from across the globe to submit applications for funding for initiatives that protect and restore the planet’s vitally important natural environments, whilst also building stronger, more active communities. Grants ranging from €2,000 micro grants for grassroots organisations to multi-year grants of up to €100,000 are available, with the Foundation committed to ensuring that no project with genuine impact is too small, or too creative, to be considered.
Tanya Kenrick, General Manager of the ISPO Impact Foundation, said: “We always believed there was a genuine appetite for this Fund, but the response to our first webinar has surpassed even our most optimistic expectations. To see so many registrations, and involvement from attendees from over 40 countries, in just our first few weeks, tells us that the need is real and the passion is there. We are enormously encouraged, and I would urge any organisation with a project making a genuine difference and enabling lasting change, for our planet and for the health of the communities that depend on it, to apply before the deadline. This fund exists for you.”
