Our vision is a future where outdoor recreation and sport thrive within healthy natural environments and are accessible, welcoming and inclusive to all.
Through an investment of €1 million each year from the ISPO trade fair, the ISPO Impact Foundation’s mission is to deliver lasting impact through outdoor recreation and sport. The Foundation is looking for charitable foundations and non-profits across the globe, to support initiatives that protect and restore the planet’s natural environments, inpsire wider participation and build stronger, more active and inclusive communities.
We welcome applications from non-profits each year around the world, which fit into the following categories (or even cross over into both!):
Nature Conservation & Environmental Stewardship (REGENERATION)
To protect, restore and responsibly manage the natural environments on which sport and outdoor recreation depend, supporting biodiversity, climate resilience and healthier ecosystems, while fostering deeper connections between people and nature.
Active Participation & Inclusive Access (PARTICIPATION)
To inspire and enable wider participation in outdoor recreation and sport, fostering healthier and more active communities, while actively working to remove barriers such as gender, ethnicity, ability, income and background that prevent full and equal access for all.
Grants Available
There are 4 different amounts that can be applied for:
up to
€2 000
Micro Donation
Supporting grassroots initiatives such as community clubs, schools or local organisations, most likely for one off equipment purchases, transport, trips or venue hire.
up to
€10 000
Seed Grant
Supporting early-stage projects or pilot initiatives.
up to
€30 000
Momentum Grant
Supporting programmes that demonstrate clear impact and are ready to scale.
up to
€100 000
Impact Grant
Supporting transformative initiatives with potential for significant / global impact.
